Terms of Service
Last updated - June 9, 20261. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of DBPort, including the mobile app, dbport.app, and DBPort backend services. By installing DBPort, creating an account, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
2. The service
DBPort is a mobile database client for iPhone, iPad and Android. The app lets you create database connections, browse schemas, run SQL or database commands, review results, stage edits, use hosted AI assistance, and sync supported records as encrypted data.
The app connects from your device to the database servers you configure. DBPort backend does not operate as a hosted database tunnel or proxy for your query sessions.
3. Authorized database access
You may use DBPort only with databases, networks, servers, and accounts you are legally authorized to access. You are responsible for the SQL, commands, credentials, connection settings, and data operations you run through DBPort.
- Keep backups and change-management controls for important data.
- Review destructive or mutating operations before execution.
- Do not rely on DBPort as your only audit, backup, or production safety control.
- Comply with employer, customer, cloud provider, and database owner policies.
4. Account security
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You are responsible for keeping your device, session, PIN, Master Password, and recovery code secure.
- We cannot recover encrypted sync data if you lose both your Master Password and recovery code.
- You must be at least 13 years old or older where local law requires.
5. Subscriptions and billing
DBPort may offer free and paid plans. Paid digital features are sold through app stores. The store shows price, billing period, trial terms, taxes, and renewal details before purchase. Deleting your DBPort account or uninstalling the app does not cancel a store subscription.
6. AI assistant
AI features may suggest explanations, SQL, commands, or troubleshooting steps. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or unsafe. You must review every AI suggestion before using it, especially with production data. AI suggestions do not execute automatically.
7. Sync and local storage
DBPort stores connections, vault data, query history, snippets, PIN settings, and preferences locally on your device. If you enable sync, supported records are encrypted before leaving the device and DBPort backend stores only encrypted records and sync metadata.
8. Acceptable use
- Do not access databases you are not authorized to access.
- Do not use DBPort to exfiltrate data, attack systems, bypass access controls, or violate law.
- Do not resell DBPort or redistribute the app without permission.
- Do not bypass billing, quotas, rate limits, or security controls.
- Do not send malware, illegal content, or secrets you are not allowed to share through AI or support channels.
9. Intellectual property
DBPort, the DBPort name, app design, software, and website are owned by us or our licensors. Your database data, credentials, queries, and connection configurations remain yours or the property of the relevant database owner.
10. Termination and account deletion
You can delete your account from Settings. The delete account page explains the process. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create security risk, abuse quotas, or must be limited by law.
11. Disclaimers
DBPort is provided as is without warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, compatibility with every database version, correctness of AI output, absence of data loss, or suitability for regulated or high-risk environments.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or production incidents caused by database operations you run.
13. Store terms
If you downloaded DBPort from an app store, that store's terms also govern your app license, subscription management, cancellation, and refunds.
14. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as DBPort changes. Material updates will be posted on this page. Legal questions go to [email protected].
