AI where database work happens
The assistant sits beside the editor, schema, and error text, so it can help with the work in front of you instead of becoming a separate chat workflow.
Context is explicit
DBPort can send the prompt, SQL, dialect, model, and schema snippets you select through a hosted AI path. Error text or sample rows are sent only if you put them in your prompt, and you choose what to include.
AI does not execute
AI output is treated as a draft or explanation. The database session remains under your control, and DBPort does not run a query just because AI suggested it.
Frequently asked questions
Does DBPort train models on my database data?
DBPort does not use your prompts, SQL, or database data to train models.
Can AI run SQL automatically?
No. AI output is a suggestion; you decide what to run.
Are my result rows sent to AI?
No. DBPort does not attach result rows to AI requests. Only the context you select - prompt, SQL, and schema snippets - is sent, and anything else is sent only if you include it in your prompt.
